Consider the picture below. Think of it as your Prayer Puzzle, Meditation Puzzle, Comtemplation Puzzle – whatever is most comfortable or you on your path.
Choose 3 – 5 words you see, and without necessarily pulling them together into a sentence, and use those words for your prayer, meditation, contemplation.
There’s plenty of words in the image, so you can pass by the “Jesus” words if you want.
Next week, change out and pick a few more, and then each week – take a few more.
Also if you want – sit down for 30 quiet uninterrupted minutes (yes they DO exist!) and create your own list to choose from over time. Keep that list handy so you can add to it as you think of new words that you want to use. Be as creative or as plain as you want.
Every week, pull together a new set of “things” worth the time spent in prayer. It’s easy because ALL things are worthy of our time, if spent alone in a quiet conversation with the Maker.
And if you’re so led – tell others how it goes.
Keep the faith, and do your homework!
